It's Carnival time in Over once again - heralding the end of school and the start of the holidays.
Orb is going to be extra busy this year - We're joining our chums from Fen End Country Kitchen (jams & chutneys), Rela Designs (domestic fabrics, blinds etc); Funkie Fudge (you guessed it!); Bizi Lizi (domestic crafts for the home) in a small version of Over Village Market.
Do come along to find us - we'll have lots of goodies for you to eat and share... and Orb's new stall banner should be on show too!!" - oooo how exciting
And we'll be extra busy because Mark's band E.R will be headlining the Carnival - so a full on day to say the least!!
Bread AND ER - what's not to like at this year's Carnival!
and so no orders on Saturday
If you'd like to order this week we will only be preparing them for collection on FRIDAY.
If you'd like any bread and cakes on Saturday do please come and find us at the Carnival from 12noon (for the best choice come early because we''ve always sold out quickly at Carnval!!)
And we'll not be at St Ives Market on Friday this week either..
This bread has been a real revelation - and a big hit with both our Over customers and those at the Cambridge Food Assembly. We had some interesting loaves produced at the weekend - the innards of some of the loaves had erupted out of the crust - and came out rather lava-like - most appropriate for an bread from Iceland!
We're selling it again this week both for orders on Friday and will be taking some to the Carnival on Saturday.
And the Welsh Bara Brith has gone down well too and so this will be both on the order form
Mark has just ordered a wonderful batch of food from this week's Food Assembly artisans - and after the taster I tried last week I can't wait.
If you've not joined (it's FREE and no obligation) we'd encourage you discering foodies to give it a go. We think you'll be impressed. And if you're concerned about having to get to Cambridge on Wednesday afternoon to collect your goodies - just let us know. We''ll be going anyway and so we can pick up your goods for you.

...we were pleased to receive a note from one our customers last week...
"Good to have you back in action - we have been on [insert name of major supermarket] bread this week and it's been awful! Your sales pitch has convinced us - we'll try both the Bara Brith and the Icelandic rye."
As always we are looking forward to your orders (for FRIDAY collection). ... or seeing you on Saturday at the Carnival!
