Welcome to a rather late weekly email... we're just back from a wonderful short break in Norfolk - staying at the King William IV in Sedgford. We can really recommend it. Lovely old pub with really really nice rooms and foregrounded use of local produce, meat, bread etc.http://www.thekingwilliamsedgeford.co.uk/
Hugh's War on Waste - have you signed up?
At Orb we have to admit to being big Hugh F-W fans - and especially in recent years when he's been taking on chicken rearing and now food waste.
You may have seen the recent programmes on BBC - if not they are still avaialable on the iplayer athttp://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b06nzl5q
Hugh F-W has set up an online petition that calls on the supermarkets to step up to the plate on waste - have a look at the website and please do consider signing the petition if you've not done so already...https://wastenotuk.com/
Learning how to make bread the Orb Way - possible Christmas pressie??
As you may recall Orb is running a bread making workshop at Swavesey Village College this weekend coming. This has been so popular that the Community Education people at SVC have commissioned us to run two more courses in the New Year Spring term. And so 'Making Traditional Real Bread Workshops will be held at SVC on Saturday 30th January and on Saturday 23rd January
The cost for the day is £30 (£23 concessions) plus £6.50 for ingredients and refreshments.

The ideal Christmas present?:
You may have a family member or a freind for whom a bread making class will be the ideal present. If you'd like to book a course for a Christmas present please telephone SVC (rather than book online) on 01954 230366 - ask for the Community Education team. Tell them its for a Christmas present and who it's for. Orb will then send you a nice voucher for you to give to the lucky present recipient which will outline the course and what they will get from the day.
For info we'll cover the following:
If you have any questions on this do please get in touch.
